YOUR NEW THROW-ON-AND-GO DRESS

Meet Bettine, the easy-to-wear dress sewing pattern that makes getting dressed a breeze. With its blousy bodice, scoop neckline and gently draped grown-on sleeves, Bettine combines everyday comfort with a stylish tulip-shaped skirt. An elasticated waist defines your shape without compromising on comfort, while turn-up sleeve cuffs add a lovely finishing touch.

New to dressmaking? The plain skirt version is a brilliant first sewing project, with no fiddly darts, fastenings or set-in sleeves to tackle. If you're ready for a little more, try the optional pocket skirt and cuff tabs for extra details without a complicated make.

Wear Bettine with sandals for summer picnics, dress it up with a necklace for work or evenings out, or layer it over a long-sleeved top with woolly tights when the weather turns cooler. It's the kind of handmade dress you'll reach for again and again.

PATTERN FEATURES:

  • Grown-on sleeves with a soft, relaxed fit

  • Turn-up sleeve cuffs

  • Elasticated waistline

  • Tulip-shaped skirt

  • Choice of plain or pocket skirt
